You're Out Selected for 24th FRIGHTFEST

FrightFest is one of the world’s largest horror and fantasy film festivals and is held annually in London, UK. Dubbed the 'Woodstock of gore' by Guillermo Del Toro, the festival brings together some of the world’s best genre filmmakers to present their latest work to horror fans.

We're thrilled to announce that our first production, short film "YOU'RE OUT" written, directed and produced by Chaz Harris, has been selected for the 2023 festival lineup as one of the 13 featured international shorts. The film will have its European Premiere as part of the 2023 Centerframe Short Film Showcase #1, screening at 3:45PM on Friday 25th August 2023 at the Cineworld Leicester Square (formerly the Empire).

FrightFest is about showing ‘that the most unexpected and delightful discoveries happen when wide-ranging topics, different people, and varied cultures come together in horror harmony. FrightFesters will experience an amazing variety of films, in an eclectic line-up which serves as a powerful tool of democracy, activism, diversity, inclusivity and social awareness,’ says FrightFest co-director Alan Jones.

FrightFest has screened the work of many filmmakers on the cusp of breaking through, including: Christopher Nolan (Insomnia), Danny Boyle (an early cut of 28 Days Later), Park Chan-wook (Oldboy), Nicolas Winding Refn (Fear X). The festival has also helped launch the careers of directors Neil Marshall, Eli Roth, Ben Wheatley and more, as well as hosting the UK Premiere of Guillermo Del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth.

You're Out A Semi-Finalist for RIIFF 2023

Although it didn't make their 2023 official selection, the Oscar and BAFTA qualifying Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival 2023 has named our short film "YOU'RE OUT" as a semi-finalist after it made it past the first round and was highly rated by festival judges.

What does this mean?

"Despite our final decision, we try our best to make sure great work and talented filmmaking do not go unnoticed, which is why we've listed your project as one of this year's Semi-Finalists for the 2023 Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival. This year's selection process was a very difficult one given our number of entries and their incredible quality.

Your film was highly rated by our judges, and made it past our first round of adjudications towards acceptance. While your film will not be featured as part of this year's Official Program at RIIFF 2023, it will automatically be considered for future programming initiatives throughout the coming year. Whether it is part of our Roving Eye International Film Festival, our weekly PBS television series "doubleFEATURE," or part of our annual Vortex Sci-Fi Fantasy and Horror Film Festival, there are a number of festival screenings and events we produce for which your film will be considered in the months to come."

A much nicer thing to receive than some of the many standard rejections we've had!

The Glassmaker is on The Red List

Prosean Pictures founder Chaz Harris's family-fantasy screenplay The Glassmaker has been included in Coverfly's The Red List for November 2022 of the Top 20 fantasy feature screenplays.

The Red List is a leaderboard of the 20 highest scoring projects in the Coverfly database. It's based on Coverfly Rank, so the higher the rank, the more likely it is a script ends up on these featured lists for the industry to discover.
